| The Economic and Social Research Council Centre for Research in Development, Instruction and Training (CREDIT) is an interdisciplinary group bringing together knowledge and expertise in branches of Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, Human Computer Interaction and Education. It was established in 1992.
The mission of CREDIT is to discover and exploit theoretically and empirically grounded principles for the design, delivery and evaluation of intelligent systems (human and artificial) to support learning.
The programme of research includes over 20 past and ongoing projects that address four closely interrelated themes:
- Principles of learning and instructional theory
- The role of multiple external representations
- Environments and systems to support learning
- Computational models of the learning process
