Psychiatric Disability Support Services provide support to consumers and carers through programs such as home-based outreach, psychosocial rehabilitation day programs, mutual support and self-help, respite and advocacy.

The special interest of the PCC is to explore treatment modalities that reach beyond the realm of classical neuroses. Research into primitive mental states, including narcissistic, borderline, autistic and psychotic states, is an important addition to our understanding of the mind and to the development of more complete treatment of serious mental disorders.

The orientation includes an appreciation of the works of Melainie Klein, Wilfred Bion, Ronald Fairbairn, Donald Winnicott and those more contemporary analysts who have expanded their ideas. Never the less, all points of view are represented, welcomed and encouraged.

The official publication of PSI is Irish Journal of Psychology.

The official publication of the PPA is Journal of Critical Psychology, Counselling and Psychotherapy [JCPCP].

The official publication of the Psychometric Society is Psychometrika.

The official publication of PNIRS is Brain, Behavior and Immunity.

The main function of the Society is to exchange information among scientists. To this end, it publishes six journals:

The Association promotes the principles and practice of psychosocial rehabilitation through practice standards, education, quality outcome measure, advocacy and public policy.

PHAA has branches in every state and territory. Membership of more than 1800 individuals spans the health spectrum and over 40 public health related occupations are represented. PHAA has twelve special interest groups for members to meet with those who have similar interests and passions, to exchange information and to develop policy positions and papers.

The official publication of the PHAA is the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health,
